I became a massage therapist because I simply enjoy helping people feel better physically and emotionally…
…that may sound overly simplistic, but I think we can all do with this care and treatment due to the myriad responsibilities and pressures (external and internal) we put upon ourselves.
I qualified in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy (now known as Soft Tissue Therapy) in 2010 and I have continued my therapeutic education, particularly in pregnancy massage. The anatomy and physiology of my LSSM qualification, as well as complementary knowledge, give greater depth to massage/soft tissue therapy – this symbiotic approach is relevant for optimum health. Each of us have individual needs and bodies, therefore each treatment is customised and sympathetic to you.
I consider it a privilege to treat people with massage and help them to heal, rejuvenate, recover, or simply relax. Interestingly, this complements my work as a designer and writer, as empathy and nurturing creates a very humancentric approach, which, in my opinion, is always the right one.
I have had the pleasure of being taught by enlightened teachers such as Mel Cash at LSSM and Suzanne Yates of Wellmother. I am a member of the ISRM.
